Offering the most comprehensive, sophisticated care for moms and babies in Waukesha County, ProHealth Care has Birthing Centers at Oconomowoc Memorial and Waukesha Memorial Hospitals.

In fact, Waukesha Memorial is home to the county's only Level III Newborn Intensive Unit, the highest level of care for high-risk infants - even those weighing less than a pound. The Birthing Center at Oconomowoc Memorial has a seamless link to the NICU, just in case these services are needed. It also has a special care nursery for babies that need extra care.

Our Birthing Center services

Genetic Counseling assesses health risks – Do health risks run in your family? Find out at our Perinatal Assessment Center. We help couples understand genetic disorders by identifying any diseases or illnesses in the family that may put their baby at risk. We also provide information, support and counseling to those couples at risk.

High-risk pregnancy care through Perinatal Assessment Center – Our Perinatal Assessment Center offers advanced services to women who need special care during pregnancy.

Waukesha County's only Level III Newborn Intensive Care Unit – ProHealth Care provides advanced, high-risk care for critically ill newborns through our Level III Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. We can care for babies weighing less than a pound, or as early as six months into pregnancy.

Breastfeeding resources – The Birthing Center has all the breastfeeding resources you need. We offer prenatal breastfeeding classes, personalized consultations with our lactation specialists, breastfeeding support groups, and a breast pump rental program.
