How to Deal with Anxiety or Depression in a Troubled Economy

Homeowners and those who are trying to sell their homes are anxious about either being able to keep their homes or not being able to sell a home in this troubled market.

In the wake of home foreclosures and lost jobs, it's no wonder that new data from the American Psychological Association shows nearly 50 percent of Americans say they are increasingly stressed about their ability to provide for their family's basic needs. For many people, this stress has spiraled into depression.

Depression is a real disease that should not be left untreated. Symptoms include fatigue and sadness. Men are more likely to act out their unrecognized and denied feelings of depression through restlessness, anger or alcohol abuse.

If depression is taking a toll on your life, please get help. ProHealth Care's Behavioral Medicine Center offers a free, confidential Assessment & Referral service at (262) 928-4036 or 1-800-326-2011, ext. 4036.
