eICU Program Enhances Care for Critically Ill Patients

Even the most advanced clinicians need all the tools they can get. That's why ProHealth Care continues to invest in quality and technology to deliver the best possible care for our patients. Now we are proud to announce that starting June 29, 2010, we are implementing Advanced ICU Care's eICU program to enhance care and safety in our intensive care unit (ICU) at Waukesha Memorial Hospital.

The Advanced ICU Care team will collaborate with our on-site physician and care team to provide an extra level of care and safety to our patients. The high-tech program will use remote computer monitoring to connect Waukesha Memorial Hospital's ICU patients 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to critical care physicians (intensivists) and nurses from Advanced ICU Care's Monitoring Center. Patient benefits include:

• Around-the-clock monitoring of patient data, including vital signs, medications and lab results
• Improved patient safety
• Reduced rates of complication
• Shorter hospital stays

Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital will implement the Advanced ICU Care eICU program in November 2010.
